GNE is comprised of a handful of brilliant men and women who have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of excellence in their respective fields. They each have their strengths, and together, we work to utilize our individuality to forge a team of some of the best and brightest individuals in the industry. For us, this is not a job - it is a passion, and our work reflects that.
Philosophy
We believe that an organization like GNE should be something its members are passionate about. We all do this not because it pays the bills, but because we love it. For most of us, our time is donated freely, without request for compensation.
To us, the quality of what we produce is paramount. We do things as correctly as possible, as efficiently as possible, and with a level of quality that makes us proud. Always. the difference between something we release and something other teams release is the difference between a handcrafted piece of furniture and something purchased at a department store. They both get the job done, but ours will last a lifetime.
History
The two original founders of GNE, Chris Case and David Bronke, came together with a simple goal in mind. They wanted to make a game. They wanted it to be impressive, and far-reaching. Chris wanted it to tell a story, one he'd been working on for years. Dave wanted it to play like an interactive movie. They were both college students at the time, and were painfully aware of the lack of technology to bring their dream to life. GNE was formed to develop those technologies.
GNE remained a fledgling game studio for years afterwards. It was only just recently that the decision to use it as an umbrella for other, more tightly-focused groups came about. At its heart, it still is simply about making interactive stories, and developing the technology required to tell those stories.
Organization
